MUFG and BNI Officially Work To Increase Indonesia's Export Transactions
Rakyat Digital. PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BNI has been appointed by the National Committee organizing the IMF-WB 2018 Annual Meeting as the Official Bank Partner for cash management for the national committee.
During the IMF-WB 2018 AM implementation, BNI also took the opportunity to enhance cooperation with correspondent banks who attended the prestigious meeting. One of them was a meeting with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) on Thursday (10/11/2018) at Melia Hotel Bali.
BNI's Director of Treasury and International Business, Rico Rizal Budidarmo, said the purpose of this meeting was to strengthen ongoing business relations and discuss MUFG's commitment in supporting Indonesia's export transactions carried out by BNI, especially through Trade Finance financing for all BNI branches inside and overseas.
"MUFG stated its readiness to provide short-term financing for BNI in various currencies, including USD, JPY, SGD and CNY," Rico explained.
He said that currently the government's focus is directed at increasing exports and simultaneously controlling imports. Rico is optimistic that with the commitment of trade finance financing from MUFG, BNI will be able to encourage increased export and general lending to accelerate BNI's business development.
BNI and MUFG have cooperated in trade transactions, bank guarantees, remittances, treasury and syndication. In the spirit of 'Bridging Indonesia and the World', BNI is ready to serve customers' needs for international and trade transactions through all domestic branch offices and 8 overseas BNI branch offices spread across Singapore, Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, London, New York , Seoul and Yangon.
